Free tax help available through Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Program

The Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program was created to provide FREE tax assistance to area seniors, but is open to anyone else in the Cattaraugus County community who is in need.

Trained volunteers will help prepare and e-file state and federal income tax returns. Appointments are required.

Cattaraugus and Salamanca-area residents:

Call Don or Allison Girod at 716-257-3285 for an appointment, information, questions, or to make special arrangements for those who are homebound.

Assistance will be provided at the following locations:

Cattaraugus Free Library, 21 Main St., Cattaraugus

Wednesdays, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - February 7 to April 11

Salamanca Public Library, 155 Wildwood Ave., Salamanca

Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. - February 8 to April 12

Olean-area residents:

Call 716-376-5670 for an appointment.

John J. Ash Community Center, 112 North Barry Street, Olean

Bring all W2s, 1099s, information on deductions, credits, sales of stock, driver's license, bank information, proof of health insurance, and A COPY OF LAST YEAR'S RETURN.
