Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning & Tourism recently unveiled the new 2014 Activities Guide. This exciting new guide offers 56 pages of "Things To Do" to entice visitors here and to keep them entertained while they're here.
Cattaraugus County's Tourism Team assembled information for the piece and turned it over to Deb Engel, Senior Art Director with e8-creative for graphic design ideas. Kenyon Press acted as printer for the guide and printed 100,000 copies of the guide.
As we begin a new year, we are looking at ways to better serve our County Businesses. All the businesses located in Cattaraugus County are very important. The Cattaraugus County Legislator along with the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning & Tourism would like to take the time to hold an informational session for Cattaraugus County Businesses. We are inviting all the County Businesses to come and express their needs and concerns; and to also find out what ways we, the County, can support their efforts.
The Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, along with the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism, the Cattaraugus County Farm Bureau, the Cattaraugus County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Southern Tier West Regional Planning and Development Board will host the Third Annual Cattaraugus County Farmer-Neighbor Dinner on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the West Valley Fire Hall, 9091 Route 240, West Valley, NY.
Cattaraugus County is home to a vibrant and diverse agricultural industry.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism along with historians from around the County will host two evening meetings in November. These meetings will be open to anyone that may have information or an interest in the meeting topics. The meetings will be held at the County Building in Little Valley in the Large Committee Room on the 3rd floor and will begin at 6:00 pm.
You could run in the Finn McCool 4-Mile Odyssey event, at Griffis Sculpture Park, after being a volunteer at the event and get a bunch of free stuff! Find out more information on volunteering for the Finn McCool 4-Mile Odyssey event.
This event benefits Griffis Sculpture Park and was voted as Buffalo's Best New Outdoor Event of 2011.

Cattaraugus County is home to a vibrant and diverse agricultural industry. Good communication is essential to developing and maintaining good relationships between farm and non-farm neighbors. This event is a way to bring the County’s farmers and their neighbors together for a night of fellowship and understanding. It will also be a way for the County’s farmers and businesses to showcase what they have to offer each other.
