Notice is hereby given that Cattaraugus County is committed to furthering fair housing.
Cattaraugus County, under Act 257-2005, has adopted a Fair Housing Plan pursuant to Title I of the Housing & Community Development Act of 1974, as amended, Public Law 90-284 and 42 USCS Section 3601 et seq.
The Federal Fair Housing Law, as well as the Laws of New York State, prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, financing, and brokerage of housing based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, familial status, or national origin.
Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development is in preparations for the 8th Annual OnoFest being held Saturday, July 25, 2015 at the Onoville Marina, 8 miles south of Exit 17 off I 86 on West Perimeter Road, Steamburg, NY.
OnoFest is a one day event that will start at 12:00 pm and run to 9:30 p.m. It is a family oriented event scheduled to have arts; crafts; food; games and contests for the young and old alike; bands throughout the day with a grand finale of fireworks at dusk! There is no rain date for this event, it will be held rain or shine.
Residents and visitors to Cattaraugus County can now have places in Cattaraugus County at their fingertips, even when they are without cellphone service!
Nominations are now being accepted in the categories below from Allegany, Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties for the Celebration of the Arts: Arts & Cultural Awards from the Cattaraugus County Arts Council.
The Cattaraugus County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board, along with the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism, the Cattaraugus County Farm Bureau, the Cattaraugus County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Southern Tier West Regional Planning and Development Board will host the Fourth Annual Cattaraugus County Farmer-Neighbor Dinner on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at the West Valley Fire Hall, 9091 Route 240, West Valley, NY.

Which includes businesses that provide overnight accommodations (B&B, hotels, etc.), restaurants, entertainment, roadside stands & farmer markets, gift shops, and souvenir marketplaces or other venues targeting travels and local tourists?
Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism is currently requesting proposals for the printing of an Underground Railroad Brochure.
The brochure will have an original size of 24x18, and include text and graphics on both sides, using four color processing. It will need to be folded accordion size vertically, then in half horizontally, reducing to a final size of 4x9. Please provide quotes for the quantities of 3,000, 3,500 and 4,000.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism announced today the creation of a Community Revitalization Fund (CRF) to provide up to $5,000 to support a variety of local community improvement activities. Crystal Abers, Director of the Department stated, “The County is interested in working with communities that recognize and value the importance of improving and preserving their unique rural heritage and aesthetic character, but lack ample or sufficient capacity to act on it.”
