Introducing the FREE Cattaraugus County Prescription Discount Card
The Draft Coordinated Public Transit-Human Services Transportation Plan for Cattaraugus County has been developed by the Community Transportation Coalition of Cattaraugus County in response to federal law and is required by the Federal Transit Administration. The plan is intended to identify the transportation needs of individuals with disabilities, older adults, and people with low incomes, provide coordination strategies among agencies for meeting these local needs, and prioritize transportation strategies for funding and implementation.

FAMILY ASSISTANCE CENTER is still operational until Friday, August 28 at 5 pm
As the water recedes from last week’s rains, farmers are now left to deal with the aftermath of damaged crops. There are immediate concerns for crops already harvested and future concerns for crops yet to be harvested. In each case, farmers should try to segregate storage flooded crops from unaffected crops.
Human Services Agencies have a coordinated response to families to assist with a variety of needs. Services will be accessible through the FAMILY ASSISTANCE CENTERat the Gowanda Elementary School on Aldrich St. between 9 A.M. and 5 P.M.
Services will include :
- Food, Water
- Temporary assistance, food stamps,temporary shelter
- Information regarding furnace, hot water tank,and appliance replacement.
- General Health information, assistance with medications, and nursing staff.
