Pay Delinquent Taxes Before March 31

Pay  Delinquent 2015 and 2014  Property taxes before March 31. 

After that date, 2016 Property Taxes will be turned over to the County for collection, and you will have to pay newer taxes before the older taxes (2016, then 2015, then 2014).  Please see our Taxpayer guide, for more details on tax collection.

May is Older Americans Month. Throughout the month, the Cattaraugus County Dept. of the Aging has been identifying older adults within the community that are living life to the fullest and "AGING OUT LOUD". Hundreds of seniors attended this month's RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) gala and spent two days being recognized for all the amazing contributions they make to our county. This week, Department of Aging staff caught up with 101 year old Mecanna Metzler.

Vendors wanted for the 10th Annual OnoFest at the Onoville Marina.

Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism is in preparations for the 10th Annual OnoFest being held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Onoville Marina, 8 miles south of Exit 17 off I 86 on West Perimeter Road, Steamburg, NY.

OnoFest is a one day event that will start at 1:00 pm and run to 9:30 p.m. It is a family oriented event scheduled to have arts; crafts; food; games and contests for the young and old alike; bands throughout the day with a grand finale of fireworks at dusk!

New Child Support Debit Card Coming by June 15, 2017

The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services is advising child support recipients of changes to the issuance of benefits. The New York State Child Support program is transitioning to new debit cards. As of June 15, 2017, all child support debit card holders will have their child support payments posted to the new Bank of America debit MasterCard. Deposits to the old EPPIcard will end on June 14, 2017.

Gonorrhea Fact Sheet - February 2017

Over the past five years, Cattaraugus County has seen an increase in the number of reported cases of Gonorrhea.  The average number of reported cases between 2012—2014 was 16.33.  The rate increased slightly in 2015 to 21 cases.  In 2016, the rate jumped 68% to 65 reported cases.  There has also been an increase in number of reported gonorrhea cases across the state.  In 2014, 6,616 cases were reported.  In 2015, the rate increased 24% to 8,719 reported cases.
