It has been said there are only four kinds of people in the world: those who have been caregivers, those who are currently caregivers, those who will be caregivers, and those who will need caregivers.
A caregiver can be defined as a person who assists another with any of the following: bathing, housekeeping, grocery shopping, bill paying, organizing medications, providing transportation, providing day-to-day company, and/or giving any other assistance the care recipient may need.
The Seneca Trail Resource Conservation and Development Council is offering one or two full sponsorships ($350 value) to attend one of the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation’s Summer Camps in 2016.
The Cattaraugus County Museum and Research Library is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit: "Frank Wayland Higgins; 35th Governor of New York." The exhibit, made possible largely through generous loans of material by Mr. Ronnie Beverly of Rushford and Mr. Frank Higgins of Olean, focuses on the life of this prominent politician who called Olean home through photographs, letters, documents, and campaign materials. It will run until May, 2016 and as always is free and open to the public. Come see it!

Buffalo, N.Y., Dec. 14, 2015 – Catholic Charities of Buffalo and its eight partners are mobilizing for a January 1 start for the comprehensive Alzheimer’s Disease Caregiver Support Initiative, the result of a $7.5 million award announced recently by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo.
