The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a hunters’ education class for the gun portion only on the following dates and time: Tuesday, September 20, 2016 and Thursday, September 22, 2016 from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The class will be held at the Hideaway Archery in Dayton, New York.
There is no charge for the class. Participants must attend both days of instruction to receive a certificate. It is preferable that participants be at least 12 years of age. If a parent wants an 11-year-old to take the class, the parent must attend and sit with the child
Two area youth are the proud recipients of new mountain bikes, courtesy of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Employees Benevolent Association. Every year at the Cattaraugus County Fair in Little Valley, boys and girls are eligible to enter a drawing for one boy’s bicycle and one girl’s bicycle. This year’s winners are, from left to right, Mathurin Griffith of Randolph and Tara Lovern of Little Valley. Each youth also received a bicycle safety helmet donated by Walmart.
Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism is currently developing a Countywide Arts, Culture and Heritage Plan with the assistance of MDB Insight, an economic development strategic planning firm. Community engagement is most important to the success of the Plan. The Public is invited to attend an informational meeting on August 16th at 6:30pm in the Cattaraugus County Center, 3rd Floor Legislative Chambers, in Little Valley.
Cattaraugus County Historical Museum and Research Library is currently requesting proposals for the printing of the Cattaraugus County Museum Brochure.
The Guide will have an original size of 11"x8.5", and include text and graphics on both sides, using four color processing. There will be 1 page at 11"x8.5", with a trifold taking the completed size to 3.67"x8.5". Please provide quotes for the quantities of 2,500, 3,000 and 3,500.
