The sale of tobacco products to minors (under 18) is a violation of NYS Public Health Law, Article 13-F: Regulation of Tobacco Products and Herbal Cigarettes; Distribution to Minors. Additionally, the Cattaraugus County Legislature recently passed a local law prohibiting the sale of tobacco and nicotene containing products to anyone under the age of twenty-one (21).

It is my pleasure to present to you the Cattaraugus County Health Department’s 2017 Annual Report. This report provides a brief overview of the many services that the department provides in an effort to preserve and promote public health in Cattaraugus County.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works will begin construction activities on County Road 24 (Abbotts Road) in the towns of Franklinville and Lyndon between Chestnut Street in the Village of Franklinville and County Road 47 (Lyndon Road) in the Town of Lyndon on Monday, May 7, 2018 for approximately four (4) months.
Portions of this roadway will be periodically closed for construction activities, which will include some overnight closures.
An off-site detour will be posted for vehicular traffic during closures.

The Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works will be closing County Road 59 (Johnson Hollow Road) in the Town of Ischua, between State Route 16 and Kinney Hollow Road, for the replacement of two (2) culvert pipes on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 for approximately four (4) days. A detour will be posted for vehicular traffic.
