Cathy Mackay, director of the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging, has announced the Twenty-Fourth (24th) Annual Senior Forum and Public Hearing will be held Thursday, August 16, 2018, at the Ellicottville Senior High School beginning at 9:00 a.m. The forum is free and open to all Senior Citizens, their Caregivers, and those interested in Senior Services.
The Cattaraugus County Health Department will be holding a series of rabies vaccination clinics in September 2018. Clinic hours are from 4:30PM to 7:30PM on the following dates:

The Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works continues to work on CR 24 (Abbotts Road) in the Towns of Franklinville and Lyndon. Construction activities will close CR 24 between the Village Line and Town Line Road on Monday and Tuesday, July 30 and 31. Construction activities will continue on Wednesday and Thursday, August 1 and 2, closing CR 24 between Town Line Road and Livingston Road. An off-site detour for vehicular traffic has been posted.
The Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works will be closing County Road 19 (Five Mile Road) in the Town of Ischua between Sands Hill Road and County Road 74, (Gile Hollow) to replace two culverts on Monday, July 30, 2018 for approximately three weeks. A detour will be posted for vehicular traffic.

The purpose of the Cattaraugus County Countywide Trail System Plan is to preserve and promote the County’s natural resources, maximize opportunities for outdoor recreation, and capitalize on the outdoor tourism industry.
Project goals include:
