Free tax help available through Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Program
The Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) program was created to provide FREE tax assistance to area seniors, but is open to anyone else in the Cattaraugus County community who is in need.
Trained volunteers will help prepare and e-file state and federal income tax returns. Appointments are required.

This letter is part of Cattaraugus County’s 2018 Annual Special Hauling Permit. It consists of the written descriptions, locations and restrictions of the structures identified on the accompanying map for these permits. Please note that many of these structures are located on town roads and these restrictions shall be part of town permits.
Little Valley, NY – Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb announces job opportunities at the County Jail as a Part-Time Correction Officer. The job responsibilities include guarding and attending to the care, well-being and discipline of jail inmates.
If accepted, 7 weeks of field training are required as well as successful completion of a Corrections Academy. Applicants MUST have availability to perform shift work, various shifts including weekends and holidays, and have flexible hours.

The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services is seeking foster parents to care for children in need across Cattaraugus County.

The Alzheimer's Association Western New York Chapter will oversee a three-year, $4.5 million dollar grant from the New York State Department of Health to expand dementia caregiving initiatives across seven counties.
On Tuesday, December 19, staff from the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging received a donation from Paul Brown Chevrolet for their Meals on Wheels/Friends of Aging Foundation Fund. The folks at Paul Brown Chevy wanted to give back to the community to a program that could be positively impacted at this holiday season. This past year, over 112,000 meals were provided to elderly Cattaraugus County residents.
Just in time for the holidays, Highway Superintendents from municipalities from across Cattaraugus County have once again come forward to help area youth in foster care.
