Public Swimming/Bathing Facilities

Public swimming facilities in Cattaraugus County require inspection and a “Permit to Operate” issued by the Health Department.  Typically, these fall into one of two categories, swimming pools and bathing beaches.  If you intend to operate one of these facility types, please contact the Environmental Health Division.  Note that all public swimming facilities require review and approval of engineering plans prior to construction. Environmental Health Services Fees

All fees charged for Environmental Health services are established by the Cattaraugus County Legislature through local law.

The download below is the most recent revision of the local law establishing fees to be charged by the Cattaraugus County Health Department.  This law became effective August 1, 2011. 

Please note that with the establishment of this fee schedule, non-profit organizations are no longer exempt from fees charged for Environmental Health services.
