This CSHCN (Children with Special Health Care Needs) program is an informational, referral and advocacy program for children from birth to 21 years of age who have, or are suspected as having, a serious or chronic physical, developmental, behavioral, and / or emotional condition, and who require health or related services of a type or amount beyond that typically required of children.

Early Intervention / Child Find Program

  • Provides evaluations to Cattaraugus County children, birth to three years old who's parents have concerns with their child's developmental achievements.
  • Areas of development assessments are:
    1. Cognitive
    2. Physical (including vision & hearing)
    3. Social/emotional
    4. Adaptive Development
    5. Communication (Speech)
  • If child meets eligibility, services can be received through the Early Intervention Program.
  • Services received under the Early Intervention Program are at no out of pocket costs to family.
