The Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services along with representatives of the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services, Department of Aging, Department of Health and Community Services will be available at the newly opened Disaster Assistance Center from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4th and Sunday, December 5th at 1 Leo Moss Drive (Cattaraugus County Office Building) Olean; for residents in need of assistance related to this weeks flooding. The Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services reports that the Allegheny River has crested at both the Salamanca and Olean river gauge locations. Residents should continue to use caution when faced with high water scenarios in and around their homes.
A State of Emergency remains in effect for the Village of Allegany and the Town of Portville.

The Cattaraugus County Office of Emergency Services is operating a Disaster Operations Center as a result of localized regional flooding. In cooperation with the National Weather Service, the Office of Emergency Services is closely monitoring the situation throughout Cattaraugus County.
A State of Emergency has been declared for the Village of Allegany and the Town of Portville.
