Vacancies:
Applications are continuously accepted and will be used for filling any vacancies which will occur.
Salary:
Full-time: $14.99
Part-time - $9.50 (start) $12.63 (after three months)
Duties:
The work involves assisting in the care of residents and their quarters in accordance with the policies and procedures of the Residential Health Care facility where employed. The work is carried out under the direct supervision of a nurse. A Certified Nurse Aide does related work as required.

Cattaraugus County Health Department Receives $450,000 Community Transformation Grant Funding

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded more than $100 million to national, state, and local organizations to prevent diseases and to improve the health in communities across the nation. The funding will be made through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) in the form of its expanded Community Transformation Grants (CTG) program, which will support neighborhoods, towns, and small communities with populations of less than 500,000. These new awards will implement strategies to reduce chronic diseases, by making healthy living easier for all people, especially those hardest hit by these diseases.

Bats can be found in areas throughout the state. You may think you see birds around dusk but it’s more likely that they are bats searching for bugs to eat, especially if your home is near a water source. Keeping bats out of your home is a good first step to protect yourself against rabies. “Most bats are healthy and contribute to our environment in many ways, particularly by controlling insects. However, on average, 1% of bats are infected with rabies.
