“Regional Workforce Action Plan” Is The Topic of the Cattaraugus County Planning Board Annual Meeting

The Cattaraugus County Planning Board will hold its Annual Meeting on July 22, 2009 at the Nic – L – Inn, 12045 Bone Run Road, Frewsburg, New York. Sean Lukasik of Pipeline 4 Progress will be the Keynote Speaker.

Sean Lukasik is an Interactive Marketing Consultant in the Elmira-Corning region of Upstate New York.  He is President of Twin Tiers Young Professionals and a coordinator and consultant for Pipeline 4 Progress.

Agricultural and Farmland Protection Plan

On March 28, 2007, the Cattaraugus County Legislature adopted the county's first Agricultural and Farmland Protection Plan.  The purpose of this plan is to analyze and understand the foundations of Cattaraugus County's agricultural economy and to create recommendations for structural economic development programming to ultimately enhance the future of local agriculture. County Zoning Referrals

New York State General Municipal Law Sections 239-l, m, n, and nn requires municipal boards to refer certain development applications, proposed zoning changes, and comprehensive plans to the County Planning Board for review before taking final action. Read more
