Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb Announces Participation in Summer Camp Program

Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb announced today that 29 children from the county are attending the New York State Sheriffs’ Association Institute’s 2012 Summer Camp. The Sheriffs’ Summer Camp is designed to provide a solid recreational program combined with the development of a sense of good citizenship. This will mark the 35th year of the camp’s operation.

Patch Requests

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff's Office would like to respond to the multitude of requests we get for uniform shoulder patches. On the average, we receive 15 to 30 patch requests per month. We are grateful that our web site generates the amount of traffic that it does, and welcome the feedback we always receive within e-mail requesting patches. On September 26, 2009, The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office received a call regarding possible human remains being discovered in the Allegany Reservoir off the West Perimeter Road near Bone Run Road, Town of South Valley, Cattaraugus County, New York.
