Twenty-three people, who were receiving welfare benefits are now employed, reports Cattaraugus County’s Department of Social Services.
Social Services staff report that in November, 23 county residents received training, work experience and a chance to get high school equivalency diplomas when necessary. The 23 Social Services clients were assisted by department staff in order to help them enter the workforce to reduce or eliminate their need for public assistance.

Vacancy: This open-competitive exam is being held in conjunction with a promotional examination. Promotional examination eligibles will be certified first for filling Transportation Coordinator vacancies within the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services.
