Home Care

The Home Care Unit oversees the Long Term Home Care Services provided by the Health Department. It determines eligibility for personal care services. Each individual in personal care receives a plan of care developed to insure that the physical, emotional and social needs are met and hours of care are authorized.

The goal of the unit is to maintain individuals in their homes as long as possible, not only is it more economical than institutional care, but more importantly it provides independence, self-worth and the comfort of remaining in their own homes.
