The Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging provides or assures the provision of needed services to county residents who are age 60 or older.

The Department was created in July of 1975 through an Act of the Cattaraugus County Legislature. Since its inception, the Department has coordinated with existing community services, planned, developed, and, in some cases, administered needed programs while also promoting new and better services for all individuals age 60 or older.

This website is meant to be a guide to the services available directly through the Department or its subcontractors. These services can be broken into seven large categories:

  • Case Management
  • Access Services
  • Housing / Weatherization
  • Long Term Care Support Services
  • Other Specialized Services
  • Nutrition & Wellness
  • Recreation & Retirement Services
  • Caregiver Resources

This guide is made possible through funding provided by the Administration on Aging, the New York State Office for the Aging, the Cattaraugus County Legislature, and participant contributions.
