Information on the Deputy Commissioner of Public Works position

The Cattaraugus County Department of Public Works is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Deputy Commissioner of Public Works. The Deputy Commissioner is in the Exempt Class of Civil Service and works at the pleasure of the Commissioner. This is primarily a mid-level management position with additional responsibilities for the supervision, performance, direction and control of a variety of operation functions within the Department.  The successful candidate will work primarily at the Public Works facility in Little Valley, New York. Successful candidate must possess a Civil Engineering Degree, including EIT Exam and eligible for sitting for P.E. License exam. Desired qualifications also include: environmental and hydraulic competence, supervision, communication and the ability to plan and coordinate the work of others.
