Donation presented from Sysco to Dept. of Aging

On May 1, 2019, the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging's Senior Wellness and Nutrition Program received a $1,500 donation as part of Sysco's Nourishing Neighbors program.

Through the Nourishing Neighbors program, Sysco is making a commitment to help solve hunger in the communities they serve. A portion of every Sysco brand case sold locally will be donated to charitable organizations in the community, and at least 75% of the donations will go to charities that help feed people.

In addition to their generous donation, Sysco associates will continue their support of the Department of the Aging's Senior Wellness and Nutrition program by helping with other program initiatives, such as packing winter emergency shelf-stable meal bags for Cattaraugus County Meals on Wheels recipients.
