Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of nine additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department’s active positive COVID-19 caseload is now one hundred and seven as there are three hundred and seventy residents who have recovered from COVID-19.

The four hundred and eighty seventh confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. She reports being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed fever. She was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on November 2nd and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and eighty eighth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southwest quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed body aches, loss of taste and loss of smell. She was tested for COVID-19 on October 30th and her test results on November 2nd indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and eighty ninth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southwest quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. He was recently hospitalized for fever, cough, shortness of breath, and confusions. He was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on November 2nd and his test results indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and ninetieth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. He was recently hospitalized for cough, and loss of taste. He was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on November 2nd and his test results indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and ninety first confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. He reports being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person but also reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.). He was tested for COVID-19 on October 30th as part of a screening process for the facility and his test results on November 2nd indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and ninety second confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. He reports being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person but he also reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.). He was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on November 2nd and his test results indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and ninety third confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the northwest quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She is a healthcare worker who reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.). She was tested for COVID-19 on October 29th as part of the requirement to test employees weekly at the facility and her test results on November 2nd indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and ninety fourth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. She is a healthcare worker who reports being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed congestion, cough, sore throat, and headaches. She was tested for COVID 19 on October 28th and her test results on November 2nd indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and ninety fifth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. He recently developed congestion fatigue and body aches. He was tested for COVID 19 on October 27th and his test results on November 2nd indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The department has begun a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that they have been in contact with and the places that they have visited.

We would like to reiterate that if any resident experience fever, cough, shortness of breath or whole body aches they should contact their health care provider (avoid going directly to an Urgent Care facility, or the Emergency Room before calling).
