Free Summer Meals for Children

News from Social Services, Posted on Wed, 07/08/2015 - 12:19pm

The Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services and the New York State Office of Temporary Disability Assistance would like our community to know that free summer meals are now available for children 18 and under at sites across the county.

The Summer Food Service Program provides free, nutritious meals and activities to keep kids healthy and active this summer.

Many summer programs at parks, schools, libraries and other fun places throughout communities include healthy food to power kid and teen activities while they play and learn. These healthy meals/snacks are offered at no cost to all kids and teens ages 18 and under. Simply drop by during meal/snack times—no sign-up or paperwork needed. All kids and teens are welcome!

Sites include Pioneer Middle School, Vets Park (Salamanca), Little Valley Town Park, Weeden Park (Randolph), Washington West Elementary School (Olean), Franklinville Elementary School, Machias Town Park, Delevan Elementary School, Gowanda High School, and Pine Valley Elementary School.
