Flood Water Damages January 2017

Anyone in Cattaraugus County with damages from the flooding that began yesterday, January 12, 2017, is encouraged to report damages to the Office of Emergency Services. We will need the name of the property owner, list of damages and estimates to repair the damages (quotes from contractors, receipts from purchases to replace items), and pictures of damages and lost items. Take pictures of damage and of all items you are disposing of before you throw them away. Save receipts from anything and everything you purchase to replace damaged items. Send copies of all information listed above by email to emergency [dot] services [at] cattco [dot] org or drop them off to our office in the Little Valley County Center Building, (closed Mon, Jan 16) Monday through Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. You can also call us at (716) 938-2212 with questions.
It is very important to note that WE DO NOT have FEMA funding or any other type of funding to offer to fix or replace your damages. We wish we did, but we simply do not at this time. We do, however, need to collect information from all Cattaraugus County residents with damages so that we can track the total impact (areas hit hardest and amounts and types of property damage). This will help us seek help for these types of incidents and plan to fix foreseeable future problems. IF assistance of any kind does become available, we will notify everyone immediately.
