National Preparedness Month 2017: Disasters Don't Plan Ahead. YOU CAN.

Disasters DON'T plan ahead. YOU CAN! – is the theme for National Preparedness Month 2017.

Recent events in Texas due to Hurricane Harvey emphasizes how natural disasters CAN and WILL disrupt the normal routines of life as we know it.

Although we may not experiences hurricanes in Cattaraugus County, we certainly CAN be impacted by Flooding. Have you given ANY thought to how YOU, YOUR FAMILY and/or YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD are prepared for disasters? In Cattaraugus County – flooding, snow storms, wind storms (and associated power outages), infectious disease outbreaks and hazardous material spills are very real EMERGENCIES/THREATS.
