Every November, during National Family Caregiver Month, the Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging/NY Connects recognizes the tireless work of caregivers that is often overlooked.
Applications for the 2016-2017 Heap Season will be accepted starting November 14th at the Cattaraugus County Department of Social Services. Heap interviews will be taken on a walk-in basis, Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 3:00.

If accepted, 7 weeks of field training are required as well as successful completion of a Corrections Academy.
The Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging’s Senior Wellness and Nutrition program needs your help. There is an immediate need for volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels in the Salamanca area.
The Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging will be assisting individuals age 60 and over with HEAP applications. Senior citizens in Cattaraugus County who received a regular HEAP benefit last HEAP season will receive an application by mail this year.
