Little Valley, NY – Sheriff Timothy S. Whitcomb announces job opportunities at the County Jail as a Part-Time Corrections Officer. The job responsibilities include guarding and attending to the care, well-being and discipline of jail inmates.
If accepted, 7 weeks of field training are required as well as successful completion of a Corrections Academy. Applicants MUST have availability to perform shift work, various shifts including weekends and holidays, and have flexible hours.

Cattaraugus County seeks public comments on its draft Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. The public's assistance in this process will assist the County in completing its mandatory five-year update of its existing plan. Sheriff’s Office Offers Bow Hunters’ Education Class
The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office will be hosting a Bow Hunters’ Education Class on the following dates and time: Tuesday, May 7, 2013 and Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. The class will be held at the Hideaway Archery,12749 Cottage Rd.,Dayton,New York.
