The Cattaraugus County Museum and Research Library is pleased to announce the opening of a new exhibit: "Frank Wayland Higgins; 35th Governor of New York." The exhibit, made possible largely through generous loans of material by Mr. Ronnie Beverly of Rushford and Mr. Frank Higgins of Olean, focuses on the life of this prominent politician who called Olean home through photographs, letters, documents, and campaign materials. It will run until May, 2016 and as always is free and open to the public. Come see it!

Buffalo, N.Y., Dec. 14, 2015 – Catholic Charities of Buffalo and its eight partners are mobilizing for a January 1 start for the comprehensive Alzheimer’s Disease Caregiver Support Initiative, the result of a $7.5 million award announced recently by New York State Governor Andrew M. Cuomo.

The Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism is now accepting applications for the 2016 Cattaraugus County Group B Tourism Promotion Grant Program.
The new viewer will have all of the same features as previous versions and users should see a jump in performance. Mobile users will now also be able to use the viewer directly from their browser on whatever device they are using.
During routine compliance checks, several Cattaraugus County businesses sold tobacco products to an underage youth.
