Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning & Tourism recently unveiled the new 2014 Activities Guide. This exciting new guide offers 56 pages of "Things To Do" to entice visitors here and to keep them entertained while they're here.
Cattaraugus County's Tourism Team assembled information for the piece and turned it over to Deb Engel, Senior Art Director with e8-creative for graphic design ideas. Kenyon Press acted as printer for the guide and printed 100,000 copies of the guide.

The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office is alerting the public to a phone scam that is generating in the Cattaraugus County Area. Residents are receiving phone calls from Medical Alert System informing the elderly they have won a free alert system. Residents are being asked for personal information to include personal identification, debit and credit card information, social security numbers, address information and more.
Unique to this scam it is a repeat scam that tends to call 4 or 5 times over, unlike most where you usually receive one call and it stops. Reside
After an investigation conducted by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force the listed defendant was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with intent to sell in the third degree, and two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree.
The charges were a result from two separate incidents where the listed defendant sold cocaine to another person while in the City of Salamanca.
The defendant was arraigned in the City of Salamanca where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu 10,000.00 dollars bail.
