Isolation, Therapeutics, & Exposure Guidance
Isolation
If you test positive for COVID-19, you must follow New York State Department of Health Guidance for Isolation of a At-Home and Lab Confirmed COVID-19 Case.
-
Isolation keeps someone who is infected with COVID-19 away from others.
- If you test positive for COVID-19, stay home, avoid contact with others, and notify your close contacts and your workplace or school.
- Isolation Affirmation -
This form may be used for Release from Isolation and for NY Paid Family Leave COVID-19 claims as if it was an individual Order for Isolation issued by the Cattaraugus County Department of Health.

Therapeutics
COVID-19 treatments work best when you receive them as soon as possible after becoming sick, so it's important to get tested and talk to your doctor right away to find the treatment that is best for you.
If you do not have a regular health care provider, you can be evaluated for treatment by either:
-
Calling 1-888-TREAT-NY (1-888-873-2869), or
- Visiting the NYS COVID-19 ExpressCare Therapeutics Access Website.
Exposure
If you've been in close contact with someone who has symptoms or tested positive for COVID-19: the CDC no longer recommends quarantining if you are exposed. However, if you were exposed to someone with COVID-19 or have been told by a healthcare provider or public health authority that you were exposed, and you DO NOT have any symptoms, regardless of your vaccination status or if you have had a previous infection you should wear a well-fitting mask for 10 days and get tested at day 5.
