Did you know that 4 out of 5 car seats are not used correctly?

Parents, caregivers and guardians are invited to attend one of Cattaraugus County’s free fitting stations and learn from a certified child passenger technician how to install your child’s car seat correctly.  It’s a quick and simple appointment process, and there is no cost for these services.

1. Make an appointment by calling the Access Allegany call center at Ardent Solutions (585)593-1738 (appointments required)
2. Bring your child, car seat and vehicle.  If possible, bring both the vehicle and car seat owner’s manuals.
3. Expectant parents should have their car seat checked before the baby is born.

The car seat MONTHLY FIT STATION is the FOURTH Monday of every month from 9am - 1pm at the Olean Fire Department (542 N. Union Street Olean)

Cattaraugus County’s Child Passenger Safety Program is pleased to assist low-income families and caregivers access the correct seat for every child at every age.  Car seats may be available to parents and legal guardians of children from birth until the child is ready to ride safely without a seat.
