Cattaraugus County Health Department was notified of ten additional confirmed cases of COVID-19 residents within Cattaraugus County. The department’s active positive COVID-19 caseload is now one hundred and seven as there are three hundred and thirty six residents who have recovered from COVID-19.

The four hundred and fifty fourth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed congestion, and body aches. She was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on October 28th and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and fifty fifth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the northeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed fever, congestion and running nose. She was tested for COVID-19 on October 26th and her test results on October 29th indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and fifty sixth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed fever, cough, shortness of breath, and body aches. She was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on October 29th and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and fifty seventh confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. He reports being asymptomatic (no fever, no cough, no body aches, etc.). He was tested for COVID-19 on October 26th and his test results on October 28th indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and fifty eighth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. She is a healthcare worker who denies being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed cough, congestion and running nose. She was tested for COVID-19 on October 27th and her test results on October 28th indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and fifty ninth confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the northeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. She is a healthcare who denies being in contact with a positive COVID-19 person. She recently developed congestion, cough and loss of taste and smell. She was tested for COVID-19 on October 25th and her test results on October 28th indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and sixtieth confirmed case is a male resident who resides in the northeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in contact with a positive COVID-19 person. He recently developed fever, congestion and body aches. He was given a rapid test for COVID-19 on October 28th and his test results indicated that he was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and sixty first confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the northeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history or being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person and recently developed fever, chills and body aches. She was given a rapid test for COVID 19 on October 29th and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and sixty second confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the northwest quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. She reports being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person and recently developed cough and loss of taste and smell. She was tested for COVID 19 on October 26th and her test results on October 29th indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The four hundred and sixty third confirmed case is a female resident who resides in the southeast quadrant of the county, who denies any significant travel history. She reports being in direct contact with a positive COVID-19 person and recently developed cough, nausea, and muscle aches. She was given a rapid test for COVID 19 on October 29th and her test results indicated that she was positive for the virus.

The department has begun a thorough contact tracing investigation for those individuals that they have been in contact with and the places that they have visited.

We would like to reiterate that if any resident experience fever, cough, shortness of breath or whole body aches they should contact their health care provider (avoid going directly to an Urgent Care facility, or the Emergency Room before calling).
